Let me get the harsh out of the way. Hope is a fool’s game. Hope springs eternal? It’s a scam.
Hope tells you that if you buy enough lottery tickets your chances are better.
Hope tells you to wish for a horse and you end up walking anyway.
Hope tells you that you will get your reward in heaven.
Hope tells you that loyalty will protect your job.
Hope tells you that pain can be avoided.
Hope tells you one more tool, piece of knowledge, beauty treatment, diet plan, will make success happen.
Hope is the audacity of believing in magic.
Hope is the gimmick of The Secret.
Hope is the tool of resistance and the snake oil salesman.
Hope is the leading character and the destroyer of your dreams.
Hope is fear of acting decisively.
Hope is the supreme ruler of failure.
This is not to say that hopelessness is better.
Preparedness is the Princess of success.
Strategy is the Prince of accomplishment.
Tactics are the King.
Execution is the Queen of them all.
I hope you get my drift.
