30+ Tips for Happiness You Can Do By Yourself

I’ve been thinking about my post the other day and started thinking about some of the things I could do to brighten my day. I began thinking about adding structure to my life and then some of these ideas just started flowing from my pen. So, I decided to share them with you. They’ll add a little wellbeing to your day.

Day Brighteners

  1. Open a window and breathe some fresh air.
  2. Or go outside and get some fresh air.
  3. Take a walk around the neighborhood.
  4. Read something uplifting.
  5. Take a 20 minute nap.
  6. Take a 20 minute break.
  7. Send someone a thank you note.
  8. Take time to have a cup of joe.
  9. Turn your computer off for the rest of the day (after you’re done reading this, of course).
  10. Have an ice cream cone for lunch.
  11. Or for supper.
  12. Eat a healthy breakfast.
  13. Take time to work out for half an hour.
  14. Appreciate what you have in your life.
  15. Take three deep breaths.
  16. Meditate for 20 minutes.
  17. Smile and you will feel better.
  18. Watch a comedy on tv.
  19. Learn something new.
  20. Try something completely different. You pick it.
  21. Walk to a park and people watch.
  22. Set a timer. Get one thing accomplished you’ve put off.
  23. Appreciate the sunshine.
  24. Celebrate the rain.
  25. Have a profound conversation with yourself.
  26. Start a no-news day.
  27. Give away something valuable you rarely use. Don’t take credit for it.
  28. Splurge on your favorite restaurant.
  29. Go sit by a body of water and reflect.
  30. Watch a river flow and wonder where it’s headed.
  31. Add a little structure to your life.
  32. Take a little structure out of your life.
  33. Lighten up onĀ  yourself and give yourself a break.
