I’ve been thinking about my post the other day and started thinking about some of the things I could do to brighten my day. I began thinking about adding structure to my life and then some of these ideas just started flowing from my pen. So, I decided to share them with you. They’ll add a little wellbeing to your day.
Day Brighteners
- Open a window and breathe some fresh air.
- Or go outside and get some fresh air.
- Take a walk around the neighborhood.
- Read something uplifting.
- Take a 20 minute nap.
- Take a 20 minute break.
- Send someone a thank you note.
- Take time to have a cup of joe.
- Turn your computer off for the rest of the day (after you’re done reading this, of course).
- Have an ice cream cone for lunch.
- Or for supper.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Take time to work out for half an hour.
- Appreciate what you have in your life.
- Take three deep breaths.
- Meditate for 20 minutes.
- Smile and you will feel better.
- Watch a comedy on tv.
- Learn something new.
- Try something completely different. You pick it.
- Walk to a park and people watch.
- Set a timer. Get one thing accomplished you’ve put off.
- Appreciate the sunshine.
- Celebrate the rain.
- Have a profound conversation with yourself.
- Start a no-news day.
- Give away something valuable you rarely use. Don’t take credit for it.
- Splurge on your favorite restaurant.
- Go sit by a body of water and reflect.
- Watch a river flow and wonder where it’s headed.
- Add a little structure to your life.
- Take a little structure out of your life.
- Lighten up onĀ yourself and give yourself a break.
